He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Burcham and Ester Burcham; and his siblings, Dewey Burcham, Marvin Burcham and Peggy Carter.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Marie Jones Burcham; his daughters, Patsy Hearne (James), Dianne Daniel (Mark), Rita Simpson (Paul) and Joyce Smith (Greg); his sister Betty LaFaver; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Bentley, Alissa Banks, Jamie Beall, David Hearn, Krista Schider, Shauna Bostick, Joshua "Bubba" Daniel, Matthew Simpson, Ian Simpson, Tyler Smith and Taylor Smith. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
