She was predeceased by: her parents, Horce Rowsey and Inez Rowsey; her husband Eddie Wood; her sisters, Sybil Matlock and Elaine Ayers; and the father of her children Don Modlin.

She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Modlin (Janie), Dennis Modlin (Diane), Neal Modlin (Rhonda), Garry Modlin (Jamie) and Vivian DePaul (Ross); and her brother Garry Rowsey (Ruth). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Betty Fern Wood Funeral Services. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the Memorial Funeral Home (613 Bunch St, Corinth, MS 38834).
