She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond C. Brooks and Mattie Louise Kirkland Brooks; and her siblings, Donald R. Brooks, Billy Wayne Brooks and Nancy Kay Brooks.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Elam; her daughters, Kimberly A. Sallis (Cary) of Oxford and Tricia L. Tomlinson (Trey) of Corinth; her grandchildren, Anna Kate, Abby, Alden Tomlinson, Cara-Anne and Zakery Sallis; her siblings, Robert "Buster" Brooks, Faye Brooks and Jamie Patrick; and her sister-in-law Judy Brooks.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church Backpack Ministry or Pinecrest Baptist Church Mission Funds.
