He was predeceased by: his father Frank Rickman; his grandsons, Will Rickman and Jarell Rickman; his brother Billy Dan Rickman; his siblings-in-law, Guy Young and Ann Rickman; and his grandson-in-law Jeh Stone.

He is survived by: his children, Shane Rickman (Cassie), Rick Rickman (Melissa Scharkley) and Carla Rickman Chapman; his siblings, Nelson Rickman and Gail Young; his grandchildren, Taylor Pettigrew (Josey), Paige Rickman, Colton Rickman, Colby Lizana, Torie Rickman, Carter Rickman, Caleb Rickman and Kabrie Tere Rickman; and his great grandchildren, Kayley and Peyton.
