He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert McGairty and Laurice Mae Dean McGairty; his wife Mary Sutton McGairty; and his sister Diane Adams (Butch). He is survived by: his sons, Mark McGairty (Teri Atkins) and Brian McGairty (Emily); his grandchildren, Lindsey Chunn (Ross), Macy Hawkins (Jordan), Jon Davis McGairty, Tatum McGairty and Tucker McGairty; and his siblings, Charles McGairty (Elaine), Carolyn Spain (Virgil), Brenda Hedrick (Rodney) and Robin McGairty.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lowndes Funeral Home (1131 Lehmberg Rd, Columbus, MS 39702). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
