He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Ashmore and Teereather Ashmore; his wife Lois Rea Ashmore; and his siblings, Arlene Ashmore and Leon Ashmore.
He is survived by: his children, Mitzi Hatcher (Steve) and Duane Ashmore (Carol); his sister Eva Jadzinski (Frank); his grandsons, Chad Baird (Jeri Lynn), Bradley Baird, Dustin Ashmore (Amanda) and Neil Jones; and his great grandchildren, Seth Baird, Zacharie Jones, Olivia Reese Baird, Isaac Ashmore and Andrew Ashmore.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (716 2nd Ave N, Columbus, MS 39701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory (716 2nd Ave N, Columbus, MS 39701). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
