We bid farewell to Sam Bray of Columbus, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Atlas and Roberta Wise Bray; and his son Hallard Samuel "Hal" Bray. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hastings Bray of Columbus, MS; his daughters, Emily Bray Rachiele (Robert) of Germantown, TN and Roslyn Bray Winterhalter (Gene) of Midlothian, TX; his daughter-in-law Anita Bray of Memphis, TN; and his sister Elaine Bray Dobson of Carrollton, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calendar First Baptist Church (3000 Bluecutt Rd, Columbus, MS 39705). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missions or Building Fund at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 829, Columbus, MS, 39703, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
