He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Patton Thrasher Sr. and Mary Thrasher; his wife Glenda Joy Thrasher; his daughter Patricia Joy Thrasher Gore; and his great grandchild Renaud of Indiana.

He is survived by : his sons, Bobby Thrasher (Lanette) of Columbus, MS and Marshall Thrasher of Clovis, NM; his sisters, Nellie Gildon, Lanada Marcinko (Ron), Shirley Nance, Angie Whitten and Tammie Burgess; and his grandchildren, Suzanna Renaud, Garrett Thrasher, Zak Thrasher, Madison Thrasher, Emily Plemons, Mary Ann Thrasher and Clayton Thrasher.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home (716 2nd Ave N, Columbus, MS 39701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel (716 2nd Ave N, Columbus, MS 39701).
