Nell Hoyt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2024, at the age of 86, Nell Hoyt of Columbus, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin A. Sims and Melinda Estella Nabors Sims; her husbands, Dr. William F. "Bill" Hoyt, James A. Wallace and Marshall Junkins; her sons, James Michael "Mike" Wallace and Terry Wallace; and her siblings, William "Otis" Sims, James "Odell" Sims, Howard Sims, Hurston Sims and Lois Brumley.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa C. Junkins Ferguson, Melinda Wallace Clark (Robert "Bob" Clark, Jr.) and Jerry Wallace (Wanda Wallace); and her grandchildren, Tracy Edge, Robert Clark, III, James Clark, Shannon Wallace Hughes and Jerry Wayne Wallace. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Cemetery.
