She was predeceased by: her sisters, Mildred Proctor, Edna Earl McFadden, Dorothy Fay Lee, Nellie McKee, Marie Beene and Barbara Loper; her daughter-in-law Cindy Dodson; and her uncle Ralph Proctor.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Austin "C. A." Dodson of Columbus, MS; her children, Carol Kohler (Joel) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Clarissa Dodson of Columbus, Rick Dodson of Columbus, Carey Dodson (Melissa) of Chelsea, AL and Howard Dodson (Gina) of Birmingham, AL; her sister Cathy Moss of Natchez, MS; her grandchildren, Shay Dodson (Heather), Russell Kohler (Mandy), Allison Kohler (Ryan), Amber Pennington (Jason), Carley Grace Wood (Nathan), Hannah Still, Hunter Dodson (Stephanie), Holden Dodson, Austin Dodson, Hayden Dodson, Jason Pennington and Nathan Wood; and also, Carlene and Shay Dodson. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Lowndes Funeral Home (1131 Lehmberg Rd, Columbus, MS 39702).
