He was predeceased by: his father Richard Reuben "Poogie" Laws, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Frances Russell Laws of Columbus, MS; his wife Jami Simpson Laws of Columbus, MS; his children, Kyle Olivia Laws of Nashville, TN and William Russell Laws, Jr. of Nashville, TN; and his siblings, Rich Laws (Rebekah) of Birmingham, AL, Fran Laws of Starkville, MS and Becky Anderson (Matt) of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Main Street Presbyterian Church (701 Main St, Columbus, MS 39701). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Main Street Presbyterian Church (P.O. Box 26, Columbus, MS, 39703) or the National Pancreas Foundation for pancreatitis research (3 Bethesda Metro Center, Suite 700, Bethesda, MD 20814).
