Vera Y. Broome Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2024, at the age of 82, Vera Y. Broome of Columbia, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James I. Broome, Sr.; her son James I. Broome, Jr.; her parents, Burley V. Young, Sr. and Nannie Mae Hunnicut Young; her brothers, Burley V. Young, Jr., Hudson Young and Curtis Young, Sr.; and her cousins, Sadie Y. Rogers, Linda Y. Harger and Curtis Young, Jr..

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Bryan Harger (Mary Ann) of Moss Point, MS, Derek Daigle of Dahlonega, GA, Charlotte Hibley (Duane) of Columbia and Darlene Griffin (Beau) of Fairhope, AL; and her close friends, Gilbert, Cheryl Jacobs and Charles Rogers, Sr.. She is also survived by great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Columbia Baptist Church.
