He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Pierce and Della White Pierce; his siblings, Jack Pierce and Burnice Regan; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Raynes and Cleo Pierce; and his son-in-law Jason Bridges.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Watts Pierce; his children, Lavonia Pierce Bridges and Reggie Darron Pierce (Marjorie); his grandchildren, Eliza Lightsey, Darron Pierce and Jacob Bridges; and his siblings, Dean Robbins, Lawana Roberts (Larry), Herman Pierce and Glen Pierce (Ginger). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
