It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lester Haddox (Columbia, Mississippi), born in Marion, Mississippi, who passed away on April 26, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Haddox and Lena Haddox; and his siblings, G. W. Haddox and Edith Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Janice Lee Haddox; his children, Lynn Culliver (James), Marla Ellingburg (David), Laura Manning (Bernie), Lester Haddox Jr. (Nancy) and Keven Haddox (Anne); and his grandchildren, Amber Louviere, Dustin Ellingburg, Amy Haddox, Josh Ellingburg, Amanda Harp, Haley Haddox and Riane Crosby. He is also survived by nine greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was President of the USM Alumni Association (1975-1976) and President of the USM Foundation (1984-1985).
