It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lowery (Columbia, Mississippi), who passed away on May 31, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carley Lowery and Elizabeth Lowery; his grandson Justin Lowery; his siblings, R. L. Lowery (Hilda), Shorty Lowery, Jack Lowery (Geraldine), Earl Lowery (Nancy), Faye Broom (Frank) and Susie Heart (Buzz); and his siblings-in-law, Lemmie Earl Stringer, Jack Sanford (Ann), George Sanford, Bud Gipson, Nathan Broom and Balzie Cavanaugh (Barney).
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Lowery; his children, Rita Julstead, Monica Lowery, Sandy Sartin (Marty), Ricky Lowery and Jeff Lowery (Charlotte); his sisters, Gladys Stevens and Joyce Stringer; his grandchildren, Daphne Russell, Erica Silas (Andre), Erik Sartin (Ariel), Jessica Lowery and DaeShawn Lowery; his great grandchildren, Taylor Russell, Miguel Lewis, Rayven Owens, Christon Lowery, Karlie Jefferson, Kelvin Silas, Cash Silas, Charlie Igleharte, Micah Igleharte, Kayla Igleharte and Justin Lowery, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Nathan Sanford (Joyce), Johnny Sanford (Kathryn), C. C. Sanford (Scooter), Sylvia Sanford, Christine Gipson and Patsy Broom. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
