He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett Butler and Timmie Bedwell Butler; his grandson Joshua Butler; his sisters, Audrey Craft, Sydell Fitzhugh, Helen Butler, Zilda Iglehart and Zellie Singley; his son-in-law Glyn O'Quin; and his stepchildren, Kevin Raybourn and Beverly Raybourn.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Butler; his children, Benton Butler (Melanie), Connie O'Quin, Vickie Smith and Sandra Smith (David); his stepchildren, Steven Raybourn and Sherry Hitt; and his brother Burgess Butler. He is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild, A host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hathorn Funeral Home (167 Hwy 198, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Raybourn Cemetery.
