He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Hancock; his parents, George Hancock and Vera Drane Hancock; and his brother Danny Hancock. He is survived by: his children, Lance Hancock (Jessica) and Katie Walley of Columbia, MS; his grandchildren, Jacob Hancock, Jackson Hancock, Briggs Walley and Mac Walley; and his siblings, Michael Hancock and Lola Sanders.
