It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Doyle Pittman (Columbia, Mississippi), born in Marion, Mississippi, who passed away on March 6, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Dovie Pittman; his son Timothy Pittman; his parent Macle Pittman; his siblings, Edwina McNabb, Pauline Lott, Evie Lee Robbins, Barney Pittman, Sr., Monette Sylvest and Lanell Stampley; and his stepchildren, Bessie Black and John Paul Edwards.

He is survived by: his son Lavell Pittman; his siblings, Sarah Bridwell, William J. Pittman (Joyce) and Jerry D. Pittman (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Mekasha Pittman, Holly Pittman and Hannah Pittman; and his stepchildren, Ruth Gipson, Junior Edwards, Lizabeth Cotton, Terry Edwards, Tony Edwards, Carolyn Wright, Betty Merritt and Jimmy McSwain. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
