She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis B. Young, Sr.; her children, Linda Harger, Sadie Rogers and Curtis B. Young, Jr.; her parents, Curtis Polk, Sr. and Maggie King Polk; her brother Curtis Polk, Jr.; and her great grandchild Dustin Daigle.

She is survived by: her sister Barbara Bass of Petal, MS; and her sister-in-law Vera Broome. She is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
