We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 88, Donald Wayne Washburn of Columbia, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Mabel Claypool and Elmer Jay Washburn; his former wife Doris Ann Washburn; and his siblings, Neil Washburn, George Alford Washburn, Leo Washburn, Edith Mae Nelson, Irene Belle Arnold, Gertrude Cora Weaver, Verna Washburn and Leona Evelyn Flamond.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Julia Washburn of Columbia; his daughter Kimberly Dawn Dressler (Phillip) of Greenfield, Tennessee; his stepchildren, Amelia Ann Reed of Pearl, Tracy Stanley Williams (Josh) of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Thomas Butler Stanley (Crystal) of Columbia and Otis Smith (Sherry) of Petal, Mississippi; his brother Claude Washburn; his sister-in-law Hazel Washburn; and his grandchildren, James Allen Gammons, Brandon Lee Gammons, Phillip Avery Lee Dressler, Lakin Savannah Nicole Dressler, Trey Stanley, Kayla Connie Nguyen, Rachel Lynn Livingston, Cameron Reese Stanley, Nick Patterson, Brittany Smith, Tommy Lee Williams and Kelsie Williams Prater. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Colonial Funeral Home (323 2nd St, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
