He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Christie and Lucy Row; his brother Tommy Christie; and his wife Dimple Christie. He is survived by: his children, Cornelia Criddle (Mike), Laura Christie, Sammy Christie and Jamie Christie; his grandchildren, Kent Criddle (Rachel), Luke Criddle (Hailey), LeAnn Harvey (Jason), Lacy Wilks (Kyle), Lori Beth Christie, Jamie Christie II, Shaw Christie, Alex Christie and Olivia Fortenberry (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Rylee Cooper, Maggie Wilks, Macie Wilks, Merritt Wilks, Olan Ketchings, Destini Christie, Zoe Christie, Jaila Christie, Madison Christie, Henry Criddle and Harrison Fortenberry.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in Don's honor be given to Wounded Warriors of Mississippi, 1357 Wade Patrick Rd. Brandon, MS 39042.
