Don left this world on November 25, 2024 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his significant other Lillie Daun Broom; his parents, Cecil Broom and Eula Dudley Broom; and his siblings, Velma Martin, Mildred Bounds, Georgia Nell Robbins, Shelton'Frank'Broom, Howard Broom, Jimmy Broom and Robert'Cobb'Broom.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Sanford, Lavon'Bubba'Broom and Kevin Michael Broom; his siblings, Bonnie Maxwell and Charlie Broom (Debbie); and his grandchildren, Hunter Broom (Ashley), Preston Broom (Santana), Sammy Broom, Abigail Broom and Michael Broom. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the New Union Baptist Church (459 New Union Rd, Columbia, MS 39429). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
