He was predeceased by: his parents, E. R. Ford and Alice Ford; his siblings, Christine McElroy, Elizabeth Gardner, Howard Ford and Frank Ford; and his wife Kitty Ford.

He is survived by: his daughter Mary Sears; and his grandchildren, Terry Sears, Jr. (Anabel), Katharen Jones, Rebecca Dillie (Jason) and John Sears (Kelly). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
