She was predeceased by: her husband Hershell Broom; her son Joey Broom; her parents, Leroy Prine and Edna Randall Prine; and her siblings, Meryl Hollis, Rita Prine and Wayne Prine.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Lott (Joe) of Hattiesburg, MS, Sidney Broom (Debra) of Columbia, Mark Broom (Dianne) of Columbia and Rodney Broom (Jeriann) of Florence, MS; her grandchildren, Dewayne Broom, Brittlee Broom, Cory Broom, Hayley Blansett, Lauren Gerlach, Cade Lott and Christa Lott; and her brothers, Joe Lott and Brent Robbins. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
