He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Merritt Sweatt of Columbia, MS; his children, Sonny Albert Sweatt, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Jackson, MS, Tuan La (Paula) of Rocksprings, TX and Shauna La of Los Angeles, CA; and his grandchildren, Sky Sweatt, Eliot Sweatt, Raffa Sweatt, John La, Owen La, Aubrey La and Rosie La.
