She is survived by: her children, Harvey A. Atkinson, Sr. (Peggy), Laverne Neville Atkinson (Charles), Linda Atkinson Ward (Jack), Johnny L. Atkinson (Robbie), Stephanie Atkinson Washburn (Derik) and Felicia Atkinson Chisolm (Bryant); and her spouse Benjamin A. Atkinson. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
