Brown and Annie May Brown; his wife May Brown; his siblings, Cleba Delores Brown, William David Brown (Billy) and Wiley Gene Brown; his brother-in-law Billy Godwin; his son Jonathan Espey (Teddy); and his grandchildren, Zachary Espey, Autumn Espey and Abel Steppee.

He is survived by: his children, Bill Brown (Connie), Elaine Nelson, Becky Raines (Donnie), Dorothy Espey, Bowman Brown Jr. (Barb), Jill Scott, Julie Frazier (Kelvin), John Espey (Melody), Jean Herrington, Tommy Espey (Jo) and Albert Espey (Barbara); his sisters, Margaret Godwin and Alice Cooper-Gatewood (Ralph); and his sister-in-law Ruby Brown. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
