He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis B. Todd Sr. and Maurine Duckworth Todd; and his grandson James Aaron Todd, II. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Mahaffey Todd of Collins; his children, James Willis "Jim" Todd of Collins and Audra Ann Todd of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Corban Todd and Kenner Todd; and his sister Ann Todd Minton of Madison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
