She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey E. Lott and Effie Lee Ingram Lott; her husband L. V. "Bennett" Shoemake; her daughter Barbara Rene'Shoemake; her grandsons, Adam Christian Ford and Stephen Philip Shoemake; and her siblings, Wydell Lott Brooks, Billy Lott and Harlon Lott.
She is survived by: her children, Reverend Glenn Shoemake (Peggy) of Collins and Brenda Shoemake McPhail (Charles) of Collins; her foster son Ivis Lenin Diar Corrales (Vanessa) of Honduras; her grandchildren, Robert Shoemake (April), Lydia Shoemake, Mark McPhail (Jena) and Chris McPhail (Whitney); her great grandchildren, Peter Shoemake, Andrew Shoemake, Bailey McPhail Davis (Austin), Presley McPhail Lowery (Kerry), Ethan McPhail, Bennett McPhail, Weiland McPhail and Raiden Gooch; and her great great grandchildren, Harvey Scott Lowery and Olivia Kate Davis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (3202 US 49, Collins, MS 39428). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.
