He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard McDonald and Vaudril Taylor McDonald; his son Granville Ramsey "Randy" McDonald, Jr.; and his siblings, Alex McDonald, Frank McDonald and Gwendolyn McDonald Wade.
He is survived by: his wife Allene Aultman McDonald of Collins; his daughters, Vickie McDonald Farris (Eddie) of Corinth and Donna McDonald Dykes (Bob) of Collins; his grandchildren, Adam Edward Farris (Irene), Matthew McDonald Farris (Deanna), Ramsi Danielle Dykes, Reagan Elise Dykes and Robert Holden Dykes, II; his great grandchildren, James Joseph "J. J." Farris and Benjamin Patrick "Ben" Farris; and his siblings, Larry McDonald (Barbara) of Collins, Don McDonald (Laverne) of Collins, Richard McDonald (Ann) of Collins, Beth McDonald Davis of Rockledge, Emma Lou McDonald Mooney (Curtis) and Rachel McDonald Baird of Taylorsville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
