With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eva Mae Shoemake Carter of Collins, Mississippi, born in Carson, Mississippi, who passed away on July 25, 2021 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her husband Lavon Carter; her parents, Elbert M. Shoemake and Dovie Edith Yates Shoemake; her son David Fedrick; her siblings, Lavon Shoemake, Jimmy Shoemake and Janie Shoemake Atwood; and her grandchildren, Cindy Cutway and Shane Brouillette.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret Carter Bullock of Collins, Rebecca Carter Runnels of New Augusta, Randy Carter of Collins, Richard Carter of Seminary and Sam Cadiere of Collins; and her sisters, Joyce Shoemake Carter of Seminary and Eunice Shoemake Rockholt of Texas. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
