She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Gordan "Doc" Norris; her children, Johnny Lee Norris, Debra Norris Jackson and Shelia Jo Norris Hodge; her parents, George Shores and Lillie Sanford Shores; her siblings, G. D. Shores, Nate Shores and Patsy Shores Byrd; and her granddaughter Tabitha Bullock.
She is survived by: her daughter Carla Norris Bullock (Richard) of Seminary; her son-in-law Larry Jackson of Seminary; her close friend Vicki Duplessey Miller of Petal; and her grandchildren, Josh Norris, Jenn McKinney (Greg), Jay Norris (Irene), Brittani Lund, Kasi Smith (Gage) and Jacob Hodge. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (3202 US 49, Collins, MS 39428). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery.
