With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Jean Pettis of Collins, Mississippi, born in Taylorsville, Mississippi, who passed away on February 6, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vardaman Wade and Mary Lee Ashley Wade; her siblings, Mitchell Wade, Dale Venable and Cathy Fabian; and her husband Tommy Pettis.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Brady (Oliver) of Brandon, Stephen Jones of Seminary and Tommy Pettis (Nancy) of Raymond; and her sister Betty Dickens (Bob) of Collins. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; as well a host of other relatives and friends.
