She is survived by: her husband James Burnett "Jimmy" Sowell; her son James Thomas "Tommy" (Wanda "Kay" Sowell); her grandchildren, Casey Billingsley (Cameron), Mary Sowell, Roxanne Veazey (Dusty) and Jay Hindman; and her great grandchildren, Ben, Blade, Easton, Wade, Caroline, Logan and Tate.

A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Senatobia Memorial Cemetery (3000 US-51, Senatobia, MS 38668).
