She was predeceased by: her husband Duward Belmont "Bill" Mason; her parents, Walter Harrison James and Minnie Thelma Hamby James; and her sisters, Beatrice Pine, Vivian Wright, Lois Laughlin and Mattie Williams.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Lois Ann Cubbins (Wayne) of Coldwater, MS, North and Georgia.
