He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Fondren and Lula Mae Jenkins Fondren; and his siblings, Kathleen Fondren Henderson, Mary Ann Hodges and Glenn Harris Fondren.
He is survived by: his wife Anne King Fondren; his daughter Melanie Fondren Newman (Jimbo) of Coila; his grandchildren, Morgan Newman Richardson (Cody) of Greenwood and James Colby Newman (Megan) of Coila; and his great grandchildren, Stella Marie Richardson of Greenwood, James Rhett Richardson of Greenwood, Emmons Ann Newman of Coila and James Nathaniel Newman of Coila.
