He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Joe Sirius Tidwell and Ida Lillian Davis Tidwell; and his siblings, Sammie Tidwell, Homer Tidwell, Billie Stark, Estelle Turner and Marie Dulin.
He is survived by: his wife June Tidwell of Coffeeville; his children, Valerie Phillips of West Monroe, Louisiana and Travis Joey Tidwell of Monroe, Louisiana; his stepsons, David Hoop, Danny Hoop of Coffeeville and Lee Hoop of Grenada; and his sister Betty Respess of Water Valley. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
