She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Mathis and Dewy May Hathcock Griffin; her husband Lucian E. Shields, Sr.; and her daughter Frances Reaves. She is survived by: her children, William Douglas Shields (Marie) of Coffeeville, MS, Lucian Eldridge Shields, Jr. (Kay) of Florence, MS, Lynn Moore of Houston, MS and Lena Robertson (Reps) of Navarre, FL; her brother Curtis Griffin of Spanish Fort, AL; and her great grandchild Numerous.
