He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Edwards and Lucile Haynes Edwards; and his sister Vernell Gray. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gray Edwards; and his sons, Jim Edwards (Gail) of Coffeeville and Timothy Edwards (April) of Coffeeville.
