He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Melton and Mary Lee Crocker Melton; and his sister Linda Cobern. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ferguson Melton; his children, Alainia Nicole Melton of Coffeeville and Sam Melton (Shelby) of Grenada; his siblings, Mary Parker, Betty Kirk of Water Valley and James Melton of Florida; and his granddaughter Charli Grace Melton.
