George Day Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Day of Coffeeville, Mississippi, born in Lucedale, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Iris Elaine Etheredge Easley and George Carl Day; and his daughter Tawana Taylor Dees. He is survived by: his wife Delia Day; his sons, Michael Day (Brandy) of Carthage, Andy Day of Coffeeville and Ryan Day (Autumn) of Grenada; his siblings, Joan Fore, Mildred Brown of Lucedale, Dorothy Kittrell of Silas, AL, Violet Threadgill of Troy, AL and Jimmy Day of Lucedale; his grandchildren, Tyler Birdwell, Russell, Colena, Gabe, Levi and Bella Day; his mother-in-law Lennie Bell; and his brothers-in-law, Butch Bell (Patsy) and Billy Bell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service (4817 Commerce St, Grenada, MS 38901).
