He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thurman Douglas and Berteal Langston Douglas; his sister Nanette Douglas Tyler; and his nephews, David Sandifer and Lee Tyler.
He is survived by: his sons, William Douglas III (Beth), Bert Douglas, Bryan Douglas (LuAnn) and Brett Douglas; his grandchildren, Evan and Alexa Douglas; his wife Martha Glenn Douglas; his sisters, Marion Douglas Sandifer and Amylou Douglas Flournoy; his nieces, Bobette Sandifer Thompson and Jaclyn Tyler Crisp; his nephew Rob Sandifer; and his siblings-in-law, Robert and Jane Hederman. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
