She was predeceased by: her parents, Willian Yates and Zoe Yates; her husband Danny Austin; her stepmother Dorothy Yates; and her sister Milly Russell.

She is survived by: her son Dr. James Austin (Mary); her grandson Scott; her brother Bill Yates (Carol) of Rancho Mirage; her sister-in-law Bobbie Mullins; and also Judy Steele. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to a charity of your choice.
