It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sidney Harold Bishop (Clinton, Mississippi), born in Conehatta, Mississippi, who passed away on January 14, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Patty Self (Jerry) of Hatfield, AR, Mark Bishop (Monti) of Brandon, MS and Kelly Bishop (Mary) of Raymond, MS; his grandchildren, Alan Self (Alyvia) of Mena, AR, Michelle Mitchell (Jess) of Jackson, MS, Blake Bishop (Brandi) of Byram, MS, Kate Mendoza (Reed) of Dover, AR, Brett Bishop (Lynden) of Utica, MS, Kyle Bishop (Kaitlyn) of Brandon, MS and Faith Bishop of Brandon, MS; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Mitchell, Levi Bishop and Jett Mendoza; his siblings, Truman Bishop (Glenda) of Conehatta, MS, Joe Bishop (Juanita) of Jackson, MS. and Mary McNamara (Daniel) of Jackson, MS; his grandmother Owens (George) of Houston, TX.; his wife Nancy; his sister Janice Havis; and his parents, Sam Bishop and Sallie Bishop. He was also cherished by three children, seven grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Calvary Baptist Church, ‘Rainy Day’ Fund, to honor his memory in the restoration of his beloved church.
