She was predeceased by: her son John Trey (Larry); her parents, W. E. Laird and Hilda Jane Laird; her uncle Bennie Smith; her aunt Marie Smith; and her cousin Don Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Hewitt; her daughter Tabitha Hewitt-Rafferty; her siblings, Ronnie Laird (Beverly) of Vicksburg, MS, Mike Laird (Pam) of Ruckersville, VA, James Laird (Angie) and Gloria Laird of Clinton, MS; her nephew Zachary Laird; and her niece Elizabeth Windham.
