It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sammye Nell Bonney of Clinton, Mississippi, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Whitfield McClinton, Jr. and Nell Hood McClinton; her husband Daniel Marston Bonney; and her brother Hugh Whitfield McClinton. She is survived by: her daughters, Sammye Carolyn Bonney, Virginia Lee Bonney and Dana Bonney Donald (David); her grandchildren, Catherine Donald Montgomery (Todd), David McCaa Donald and Mallie Nell Donald; her great grandchildren, Henry and Sam; and her sisters, Margaret McClinton Evans (Robert) and Susan McClinton Daugherty (Joe).
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Wright's Funeral Home (119 E Church St, Quitman, MS 39355). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM and from 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
