Sammy Sammons Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Sammons of Clinton, Mississippi, born in Shellman, Georgia, who passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Sammons Jr. and Irene Simpson Sammons Gilbert; and his siblings, Carlton Sammons, Benny Sammons, James Gilbert, Drewy Gilbert and Winefred Gilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia B. Sammons; his brothers, Don Gilbert (Carol) and Eddie Gilbert (Glenda); his sister-in-law Frances Gilbert; his children, Betty Jo Wilson (Bruce), Tresa S. Berry (Glenn), Buddy Sammons (Becky) and Traci S. Loutner (Scott); and his stepdaughters, Regina F. Gaddy (Justin) and Shana F. Armstrong (Eric). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Heart Association and/or Diabetes Foundation of MS.
