He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Bryant Gore; his parents, Reverend and John Ellis Gore, Sr.; and his siblings, Dr. Albert Leroy Gore, Granville Ivan Gore, John Ellis Gore, Jr., Dudley Ivan Gore, Dr. Bill Wes Gore, Johnnie Faye Weed (Gore) and Ella Ruth Smith (Gore).

He is survived by: his children, Dr. Judith Gore Gearhart (Greg), Paul Bryant Gore (Jody), Janice Gore Mellado (Eddie) and Philip Marshall Gore; his grandchildren, Jana Mellado Sayman (Matt), Sara Mellado, Allen Gearhart (Krista) and Samuel Gearhart (Callie Tullos); his great grandchildren, Landan Harlin, Marshall Cruthis and Ellis Gearhart; his brothers, Thomas Pepper Gore of Clinton and Daniel Joseph Gore (Sylvia) of Muncy; and his sisters-in-law, Marianna Gore (Albert), Janie Gore (John) and Lois Gore (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
