He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Nix and Annie Nix; his brother Ollie Nix; his sister-in-law Thelma Nix; and his daughter Dionne Nix.
He is survived by: his wife Stella Nix; his children, Gynelle England of Atlanta, GA, Adam Nix and Troy Nix of Jackson, MS; and his stepson Anthony McGee (Bernadine) of Jackson, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
