She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Lee Box; her parents, Grady Ellis (Gladys Ellis) and Gladys Ellis; and her sister Dianne Lancaster. She is survived by: her son Michael Ellis Box (Valerie) of Madison; her granddaughters, Paula Jean Box, Lindsey Box and Natalie Murphy; her daughter Paula Box Murphy (John) of Madison; her brother Leon Ellis (Boots) of Louisville; her granddaughters, Lindsey Box Lassiter (John) of Flora, Kelsey Murphy of Dallas and Natalie Murphy Sholar (Drew) of Memphis, Tennessee; and her great grandchildren, Ellis, Jack, Olivia Lassiter of Flora and Margaret Sholar of Memphis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home - Clinton (106 Cynthia St, Clinton, MS 39056). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at the Lakewood Memorial Park (6000 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209).
